Welcome to Aurora Information Technology 

Introduction

Aurora is the name of our Library management system (LMS).  Aurora was designed and developed in Australia by AIT - an Australian technology company.   We are a niche player in a global marketplace however our goal is not to be the biggest LMS vendor but to focus on innovative software development backed up with strong customer support. We develop our software exclusively for libraries.  

News

City of Sydney selected Aurora through open tender for their new LMS.  On May 30th they went live following a significant data conversion but this was all achieved without any branch being closed.  

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation also selected Aurora in open tender and the contract was awarded to AIT.  The ABC library has approximately 750,000 items and AIT recently performed the go-live conversion from a combination of in-house and other systems.

Aurora is designed using the latest technology to allow libraries to maximize your collection to meet the needs of your customers. We develop using .Net technology to deliver smart client workstations with a clear user interface and innovative Web OPAC access.

Aurora uses open and extensible architecture, conformant with Council and Corporate infrastructure based on the SQL Server Unicode compliant relational database technology which is

Any new product feature is available to customers at no licence change - through their existing annual support  agreement
